Harry expects Toddy exit

Harry Redknapp has admitted that Svetoslav Todorov is likely to leave Portsmouth.

Harry Redknapp has admitted that Bulgarian striker Svetoslav Todorov is likely to leave Portsmouth in the summer.

The 28-year-old arrived at Fratton Park in 2002 and his goals helped fire the club to the Premiership the following season, but he has been plagued by injuries since Pompey made the jump to the top tier of English football.

Todorov had a loan spell at Wigan earlier in the season, but failed to find his best form and Redknapp feels the forward will be best served by heading away from Fratton Park in the summer.

"Toddy needs to play somewhere," Redknapp told the Independent. "That's why he went on loan to Wigan.

"He's a good player, but he's been unlucky with injuries."
