Sporting Lisbon have no plans to recall Rodolph Douala, according to reports in Portugal.
The Cameroon international joined Portsmouth on a season-long loan in August, with a view to a permanent move.
However, he has failed to break into Harry Redknapp's side and has admitted that he is frustrated not to be playing.
Speculation suggested that he could return to Sporting in the New Year, but club directors are believed to have ruled out his return.
Douala was linked with a number of clubs before opting to move to Fratton Park and interested parties are likely to be monitoring his situation carefully.
