Rodolph Douala admits he will have to rethink his future after failing to break into the Portsmouth team.

The winger is spending the season on loan from Sporting Lisbon, but has made just two substitute appearances in the Carling Cup.

Injuries have hampered his prospects, but the Cameroon international is unhappy with his situation at Fratton Park.

Pompey do have the option to sign Douala permanently, but it currently seems unlikely he will accept any offer.

Douala is aware previous suitors are still interested and he will review his position in the New Year.

"I'll need to have a career rethink if my situation doesn't change before January," Douala told the News of the World. "Money isn't everything.

"The clubs that were interested in me before I joined Portsmouth still want to sign me.

"I have several possibilities in France."
