Bournemouth boss Kevin Bond has gone to back former club Portsmouth to land winger Franck Songo'o on a month's loan.
The 19-year-old Frenchman joins the League One club in time for Saturday's game with Rotherham United.
The former Barcelona trainee, who joined Pompey on transfer deadline day in the summer of 2005, made just three substitute appearances for the Premiership side last season.
The son of former Cameroon World Cup star Jacques Songo'o, the France youth international has struggled to break into Harry Redknapp's first team this term.
With Bond well aware of the talented Songo'o, he has been handed the opportunity by Portsmouth to bring the youngster along the South Coast to Dean Court for an initial four-week loan spell.
