Queens Park Rangers have pulled the plug on their deal to sign Portsmouth defender Richard Duffy on loan.
The 21-year-old looked set to join the West London club on a one-month loan deal after falling down the pecking order with Harry Redknapp's side.
However, the former Swansea City player will now remain at Fratton Park after the Championship side failed to complete the move.
"It's simple - the deal is off," QPR manager John Gregory told the club's official website. "We couldn't agree terms.''
Since joining Pompey in January 2004, Duffy has had two loan spells with Championship rivals Burnley and Coventry City.
