GAIS starlet James Keene is keen on returning to Portsmouth, as he nears the end of his loan spell in Sweden.
The 20-year-old Englishman joined the Swedish top flight newcomers on a season-long loan in the spring.
The young striker has bagged nine goals in 17 appearances so far for the Gothenburgers and now hopes to secure his future with the high flyers at Fratton Park.
"It is correct. I have always dreamt of playing in The Premiership," Keene told Fotbolldirekt.com.
"Therefore, I will go back after this season and try to win a place.
"It will be tough, but I really want to try. I am missing English football."
GAIS will need to seek a replacement in the transfer window, which will open when the season ends in November.
"He has a three-year contract with Portsmouth and will return to England after this season," club chairman Christer Wallin confirmed.
