Toulouse midfielder Achille Emana has admitted he is beginning to lose patience over his ongoing transfer saga.
The 24-year-old has been constantly linked with joining Harry Redknapp's Portsmouth in the summer but is still waiting for the two clubs to agree a fee for his services.
Emana has now called on Pompey to make a firm bid, with the Cameroonian expected to be in Elie Baup's starting line-up when the new French season starts at the weekend.
"I am starting the season with Toulouse on Saturday at Bordeaux," Emana said in But.
"Last Sunday, the Portsmouth sport director called me. He should have sent a fax to Toulouse to begin negotiations.
"The English side have not given up, I am just waiting for the fax."
Emana has also revealed he is far from certain to leave Toulouse to join Portsmouth before the transfer window closes.
"Earlier I was really attracted by Portsmouth after my difficult last season," he added.
"But there are limits to my patience. Portsmouth are not rushing to sign me.
"Also, things have changed at Toulouse, Elie Baup relies on me, he trusts me."
Meanwhile, the midfielder has insisted neither Marseille nor St Etienne have been in contact about signing him.
"I don't know anything about the Marseille interest. No one has called my agent and Toulouse haven't received any documents.
"St Etienne? I don't know anything."
