Marseille chairman Pape Diouf has confirmed the club are considering a move for Cameroon international Achille Emana.
The 24-year-old midfielder nearly joined Portsmouth earlier in the summer, but the deal was scuppered by work permit problems.
Emana admitted that he considered the Stade Velodrome as more than a suitable alternative, and l'OM have now revealed they are weighing up a deal.
"He is part of the named agents proposed to us," Diouf conceded.
"We are thinking about it, even if there is absolutely nothing concrete to believe he could join us so far.
"Let's say he is part of three or four names we have listed."
Toulouse finished 16th in Ligue 1 last term and new coach Elie Baup will be anxious to show a turn around in the team's fortunes as soon as the new season gets underway.
