Dutch goalkeeper Sander Westerveld has signed a one-year deal with Spanish outfit Almeria.
The 31-year-old joined the Segunda outfit on a free transfer having departed Portsmouth earlier in the summer.
He also had a loan spell with Everton last term, but has now opted for a return to Spanish football.
Westerveld has already had spells in Spain's top-flight with Real Sociedad and Mallorca and will now be hoping to get back there with the ambitious Andalusian outfit.
He has met up with his new team-mates at Almeria's pre-season training camp at Los Angeles de San Rafael and will do battle with Valerio and Ricardo for the club's number one jersey this term.
Almeria finished sixth in La Segunda last term and will be hoping to secure promotion this time around.
