Portsmouth have successfully struck deals for French-based duo Achille Emana and Olivier Thomert.
The deal for Emana is virtually done after he agreed terms on a three-year contract, but Thomert is yet to finalise terms with the South Coast club.
Emana comes in from Toulouse and has agreed a three-year deal with an option for another 12 months.
Toulouse agreed a fee of é¼4 million (£2.7 million) for Cameroon international Emana - who will be unveiled once he has undergone a medical at Fratton Park.
Emana has always been high on manager Harry Redknapp's wanted list after he watched him in action last month - and skysports.com exclusively broke the news of Pompey's interest.
Thomert was also a player to catch Redknapp's eye - but the chase for his signature is much more difficult.
Pompey have agreed terms with the player's club Lens on a é¼10 million (£6.8 million) and they will now look to strike a deal with the 26-year-old.
The likes of Everton and Tottenham have shown an interest in the past, while Atletico Madrid were linked this week - but Pompey are hoping they can tie up a quick deal for the highly rated forward.
