Portsmouth could be set to land up to three Ligue 1 stars in the next few weeks, according to reports in France.
Pompey boss Harry Redknapp took in a tour of Europe earlier this month, as he personally scoured the continent looking for talent.
He came back to England with a bulky list of potential signings for Pompey's hierarchy and now they look set to act on it.
First on the list is said to be Toulouse midfielder Achille Emana, and a deal is reportedly close to being finalised - according to French sources.
The Cameroonian was watched by Redknapp and then by Christian Karembeu - who is currently working for Pompey.
Emana was being watched by Arsenal earlier this season and should Pompey be able to land him, then his capture would prove something of a coup.
Pompey are also in the hunt for Lens' ace Olivier Thomert - although it would take all of Redknapp's powers of persuasion to persuade the 26-year-old to move to Fratton Park.
The left-sided forward is one of most highly rated forwards in France, although Thomert has admitted his desire to move to The Premiership.
Should Pompey make a move then Tottenham, Everton and Manchester City - who have previously been linked with bids - could resurrect their interest, while reports suggest Middlesbrough may also be ready to join the hunt for his signature.
The third of Redknapp's targets is goalkeeper Charles Itandje - also currently with Lens.
The highly rated 24-year-old, who is believed to be on the cusp of the French national squad, would command a fee of at least £3 million - but Redknapp and his scouts have been impressed and could very well tempt Sang et Or with a big offer for both Itandje and Thomert.
