Sochaux defender Souleymane Diawara is hoping to win a move to England.Sochaux defender Souleymane Diawara has issued a come-and-get-me plea to clubs in England.
The 26-year-old is hoping to leave Sochaux and has set his sights on a move to The Premiership.
Diawara has attracted the interest of a host of clubs after a number of impressive performances for Sochaux.
Portsmouth are reported to be keeping tabs on the former Le Havre star as they look to bolster their squad.
Sochaux are believed to be willing to sell the Senegal international and have placed a £4.5 million price tag on the defender's head.
The player's agent Willie McKay revealed the player, who is away on international duty at the African Cup of Nations, is keen on trying his luck in England and is hoping to secure a move in this month's transfer window.
"Diawara is keen to come to England," McKay told skysports.com.
"He is away playing in the African Cup of Nations at the minute, but he is hoping to secure a move to England in the transfer window.
"I am working on that and Sochaux are ready to sell him for £4 million (é¼6.4 million).
"I think he is a bargain at that price and he is made for the Premier League as he strong, quick and aggressive.
"Whoever does move for him will be doing a fantastic piece of business."
