Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has admitted he could sell Matt Taylor.

Skysports.com revealed earlier this week that Fulham had lodged a bid for Taylor and now Redknapp has confirmed Taylor could leave.

"I don't want to lose Matt Taylor, for sure. He's a good player. If we can keep him, we will, but it depends," said Redknapp.

"If we have to sacrifice a player to get two in who balance the squad, we might have to do that.

"We might have to lose him to make us stronger all round. But I want to keep him. I need a wide-left player.

"If Matty Taylor plays at left back, we need a wide-left player. If Matty plays wide on the left, we need a left back.

"There is a player abroad I like who plays wide on the left side of midfield, with a good left foot. There's a possibility of getting him on loan."

News of Taylor's availability is sure to alert a number of clubs to the 24-year-old, although Fulham will hope that they can snare him quickly.
