Portsmouth keeper Sander Westerveld does not know where his future lies.Portsmouth keeper Sander Westerveld has revealed that the injury to Jamie Ashdown has only complicated his situation.
The former Liverpool man has deputised for Ashdown since he picked up a hamstring strain over the Christmas period, but is still considering options elsewhere.
With Ashdown set to come back soon, and Pompey boss Harry Redknapp keen to bring in a new goalkeeper, a return to Westerveld's native Holland is looking increasingly likely.
Ajax, Roda JC, Vitesse Arnhem and Heerenveen have all declared their interest in the 31-year-old, while Feyenoord are also monitoring his progress.
"It (the injury to Ashdown) doesn't make my situation easier," said Westerveld.
"Will I still be first choice after his return? Will I get the trust of Harry Redknapp for a long spell in the team? Or will I be a reserve again?
"I am not interested in a move to Ajax, because I would be reserve behind (Maarten) Stekelenburg.
Westerveld would favour a move to Feyenoord, but has not received an offer from the club yet.
"I want to play, hopefully for a club at UEFA Champions League level," he explained.
"I would seriously think about Feyenoord, but despite all the rumours, they have not contacted me yet. I will just have to wait and see what happens in the next few weeks."
