Bournemouth boss Sean O'Driscoll has confirmed he is anxious to keep James Keene at the League One outfit.

Keene has been on-loan at The Cherries from Portsmouth and has impressed with a series of promising displays.

Despite the fact the young striker has yet to break his goalscoring duck in six games, O'Driscoll is keen to broker a further deal with his parent club.

''Keene wants to stay and the club want him to as well,'' said Keene.

''He's done a good job for us, and he has been a useful addition to the squad.

''Unfortunately his loan deal is now up, but we're going to have a conversation with Portsmouth and see what we can do about that.''
