Livorno striker Tomas Danilevicius is reportedly one of Portsmouth's top summer targets.
The Lithuania international only recently penned a bumper deal, but president Aldo Spinelli is believed to be willing to listen to substantial offers.
Danilevicius was rewarded for his growing stature with a contract through to 2009 back in November last year.
The 26-year-old has some experience in The Premiership, having made three appearances under Arsene Wenger before being shipped out of Highbury.
Danilevicius, who arrived in Italy through Belgian outfit Beveren, has seen his appearances somewhat limited by the outstanding form of Serie A's top scorer Cristiano Lucarelli.
Igor Protti has now decided to hang up his playing boots and that could leave Danilevicius fighting for a place rather than opting to return to England.
Pompey are keen on bolstering their attacking options following the sale of Yakubu Aiyegbeni to Middlesbrough.
