Portsmouth have been handed a triple boost on the injury front with Amdy Faye, Hayden Foxe and Vincent Pericard close to fitness.

All three have missed the start of the new season through injury, but are close to regaining optimum fitness.

Foxe and Pericard have been long-term absentees for Harry Redknapp, while Faye has been sidelined with a knee ligament problem since the summer.

Faye and Pericard both played in a behind closed doors friendly with Luton in midweek, with Faye playing the full 90 minutes and Pericard the first half.

The pair could soon be available for selection for first team action for Pompey, while Foxe is expected to be back in action in October.

Another boost for Redknapp is that summer signing Aliou Cisse completed his first full 90 minutes for the side in the game with Luton.
