Wycombe Wanderers manager Tony Adams has tied a number of new signings ahead of the new League Two season.

The Chairboys boss has signed goalkeeper Steve Williams to a new one-year deal at The Causeway Stadium while experienced defender Gus Uhlenbeek has completed his move to the Buckinghamshire-based club by signing a one-year contract.

The Dutchman has been joined by former Bristol City player Joe Burnell (pictured), who joins Wycombe on a two-year deal, while Portsmouth's teenage defender Gary Silk has arrived on a month's loan.

Adams's fifth signing is 19-year-old striker Shahed Ahmed from League One side Milton Keynes Dons.

Ahmed has penned his first professional contract with the club after being released by The Dons at the end of last season.

The new arrivals will hopefully boost a squad that failed to stay in the old Second Division last term.
