PORTSMOUTH boss Harry Redknapp has declared his interest in Wolves midfielder Carl Robinson.

Redknapp admitted he is considering moving for the out of contract star as a possible replacement for wantaway Shaun Derry.

Derry is looking to leave Fratton Park and Robinson is just one of the players that Redknapp is looking at as a replacement.

The former Sheffield United ace has been linked with moves to both Leicester and Wolves and Robinson would be an alternative as he is available on a free transfer.

"Robinson is a decent midfielder who played 25 times for Wolves last season before he lost his place because he didn't want to sign a new contract," Redknapp told the Portsmouth Evening News.

"So now it all depends on Shaun Derry. He wants to move although I'd be quite happy to keep him here. Maybe he needs a change of luck and a change of scenery. I understand that.''
