Reading midfielder Jem Karacan insists their trip to Liverpool on Saturday holds no fears for them.
The Royals defeated Liverpool 2-1 in an FA Cup replay at Anfield in January 2010 after drawing the original game at the Madejski Stadium.
That leaves them in good spirits ahead of a match that sees Reading manager Brian McDermott test himself against his predecessor Brendan Rodgers.
"We've beaten Liverpool there before - we're not scared of them. We just want to go out in every game and prove to people what we can do," Karacan told the Reading Chronicle.
"Anfield is a fantastic place to play - one of the best stadiums in the world. We just need to go there and do what we have been doing in our last couple of games.
"I played against Liverpool twice in the FA Cup a couple of years ago.
"To be able to glance over at an opponent of Steven Gerrard's calibre is a real pleasure. Hopefully the team can go there and do as well as we did before."
