Nottingham Forest manager Sean O'Driscoll has confirmed he has held talks regarding a possible deal for West Brom striker Simon Cox.

Nottingham Forest manager Sean O'Driscoll has confirmed he has held talks regarding a possible deal for West Bromwich Albion striker Simon Cox.
Sky Sports revealed earlier this week that Forest had joined the chase for Cox, who could be allowed to leave West Brom before the transfer window closes.
Cox has scored just once in the Premier League in the past two seasons and has also been linked with the likes of Swansea City, Blackburn Rovers and Celtic.
O'Driscoll has been busy improving his squad since taking charge at the City Ground and is now awaiting developments on his interest in Republic of Ireland international Cox.
Waiting
"He is somebody that we have asked about," said O'Driscoll in the
Nottingham Evening Post. "We are waiting for answers on one or two things.
"It is just talks at the minute. That is going off with one or two players. You make contact with their clubs, you make contact with their agents.
"Then you wait for developments, to see what happens. We are waiting see what happens with him."
O'Driscoll also played down suggestions that he would be able to sign Southampton striker Billy Sharp after the pair enjoyed success together at Doncaster Rovers.
He added: "I had Billy at Doncaster and he was fantastic. If you could get him to a club like Forest, that would be great. But he scored on Saturday against Wolves and he is dead keen to play in the Premier Division.
"That would be a long shot, to be honest. We have been linked with a lot of strikers. But being linked with them and actually getting them is different."
