Brian McDermott claims to be in no rush to add further fresh faces to his Reading ranks and says there are unlikely to be many departures either.
The Royals have been busy during the summer transfer window, with six new recruits drafted in.
McDermott has moved quickly to bolster his squad ahead of what promises to be a testing return to the Premier League.
Garath McCleary, Chris Gunter, Pavel Pogrebnyak, Nicky Shorey, Danny Guthrie and Adrian Mariappa have all arrived at the Madejski Stadium.
McDermott is happy with the business he has been able to carry out and insists he has no plans to dip back into the market any time soon.
He told
Sky Sports News HD: "We're delighted with them. We have tried to get our business done as early as we possibly could. We finished the season quite early last season, so we're happy with what we've done.
"We are not overly looking now. We've got two players for each position. If something comes later on in the window that we feel is good for us, then we might do something."
Loans
McDermott is also expecting to keep the core of the squad he currently has at his disposal in one piece.
Asked if he expected there to be departures in the coming weeks, he added: "There's nothing we need to do. We might send one or two of the younger players out on loan, but apart from that I wouldn't imagine so."
McDermott has also offered an update on the fitness of new arrival Gunter, with the Wales international nursing an ankle complaint.
He said: "He's had the scan and it's fine. He has got a sprained ankle.
"It's another week or so I would imagine, that's what the physios are saying. It could be a little bit longer than that, but it's a disappointment for him because he's been training so well."
