Mikele Leigertwood has had to cancel his stag do after helping Reading reach the Championship play-off final.
The midfielder was due to fly to Las Vegas this week along with 18 friends, including team-mate Jobi McAnuff, but instead he will feature in the Wembley showpiece final against Swansea on Monday.
Leigertwood told the club's
official website: "I'm due to get married in the summer and had the stag booked a long time ago, so now I've let down 18 of my friends and lost a lot of money!
"They're totally understanding, though, they're happy we're in the final and so am I, now we've got to go and win.
"I've never played at Wembley so to turn out there and try and get to the Premier League is what everyone wants to do."
Meanwhile, Royals right-back Andy Griffin insists Swansea's double league success will not have much bearing on Monday's showdown.

Swans triumphed 1-0 at the Madejski Stadium in October thanks to Scott Sinclair and then 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium on New Year's Day, Darren Pratley this time netting the only goal of the game.
Griffin, who is presented with the tough task of marking Sinclair at Wembley, said: "Both the wingers, Sinclair and (Nathan) Dyer, are exceptionally quick and very good players.
"But you want to play against the best players, whatever division you play in. I've been lucky enough to play against some great players in my time and they've got some dangerous ones we'll want to keep an eye on. So have we.
"They did the double over us in the league but I don't know how much that will count for - we lost 1-0 home and away but both games were so tight and it's a one-off game on Monday.
"We'll show Swansea the respect they deserve, as a team they've done very well. They pass the ball around well and they'll have a game plan. But we'll have a game plan ourselves and we're confident we can go out and win.
"I was very confident we could go out and beat Cardiff and we went there and came away with a comfortable win in the end. And the way we're playing at the moment there's no reason why we can't win again."
