Hereford's highly-rated striker Mathieu Manset is being targeted by Championship outfit Reading and host of other clubs.

Royals boss Brian McDermott revealed that the young French striker is on his wish list, but admitted he was expecting competition for his signature. Manset has scored 13 goals for the struggling Bulls this season and the 21-year-old has also attracted the interest of scouts from Burnley, Millwall, Crystal Palace and Charlton. McDermott told the Reading Post: "I think there will be a number of clubs looking at him. We might be in the frame to look at him as well, but we will see. With any deal there is a lot of work to be done." The bustling striker, who came through the youth system at Le Havre, recently hinted that he would be willing to leave Edgar Street. "I am always speaking to my advisers," he said. "I am confident of things going the way which would be good for everyone involved. I am relaxed and trusting people who look after me in my sports career. They are professionals and look after big-name players already."
