Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici has confirmed he is close to securing a new contract at the Madejski Stadium.
Federici's current deal expires at the end of the season and the Australian had been linked with a move to the Premier League.
However, the 25-year-old is happy to be playing first-team football with Reading and expects to reach an agreement with the Championship club.
"I'm very confident that I will stay at Reading," Federici told the Reading Post.
"We've been talking and I'm hoping it's sorted soon.
"I'm looking forward to finishing this season strongly at this club and you never know where we might end up.
"The manager here wanted me to stay as well. I want to keep on playing so hopefully it works out for everyone."
