Goalkeeper makes loan move from Reading

Bristol Rovers have struck a deal with Reading to bring goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen back to the club on a month-long loan. Andersen spent time with the Pirates last season and will join the League One outfit again until the end of August, with the option of an extension available. The 21-year-old Dane will link up with Rovers on Tuesday and is set to feature in their pre-season friendly against Stoke. The move comes as summer recruit Luke Daniels suffered an injury that ruled him out of the start of the new campaign, leaving manager Paul Trollope with rookie Mike Green as his only goalkeeping cover. Trollope told the club's official website: "We are delighted to welcome Mikkel back to the Memorial Stadium. "He was in our thoughts throughout the summer, however it looked as though we would not be able to secure his services for a return. "Mikkel had a very good spell with us last season, and became an important part of the squad both on and off the pitch, as well as becoming a firm fan's favourite."
