Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope remains keen to bring Reading goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen back to the club next season.
Andersen spent the majority of the last campaign on loan at the Memorial Stadium and made 39 appearances for the League One club.
The 21-year-old Dane has recently expressed a wish to force his way into the first-team picture at Reading, but has also had contact from Trollope about rejoining Rovers.
Trollope confirmed signing a new keeper is currently his priority in the transfer market and believes it is possible that Andersen will come back.
"We have now turned all of our attention to the goalkeeping situation," Trollope revealed on his club's official website.
"There are a number of possibilities and we are speaking to a number of agents and players and we are hopeful that we will secure a keeper quite soon.
"Mikkel Andersen is one of those targets. I've had a number of discussions with [Andersen] and Reading through the summer and it's a possibility Mikkel might return."
