Bristol Rovers are hoping to sign Reading goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen on loan again next season.
Denmark Under-21 international Andersen impressed in a loan spell with the Pirates this season and manager Trollope wants him back at the club.
Trollope plans to approach the Royals to discuss the possibility of another loan deal ahead of the new campaign and feels Andersen is open to a return.
He told the club's official website: "For next season, we have told Mikkel we would like him back in our goal.
"Obviously it would be on a loan basis again, and he has not ruled out the possibility.
"He is a driven young man and wants to play as high as he can, as soon as he can. I don't think the situation at Reading will sort itself until pre-season, but he is very much in our thoughts and I think we are in his.
"We have got to look at the details at their end, and see what is out there for Mikkel before he will commit and they will commit."
