Reading midfielder Jobi McAnuff has been charged with improper conduct following the FA Cup replay against West Brom on Wednesday.
McAnuff is charged in relation to his conduct following his dismissal at The Hawthorns after an incident with Albion midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu.
He remains subject to an automatic three-match suspension which will keep him out of the Championship games against Sheffield Wednesday and Derby and the FA Cup quarter-final at home to Aston Villa.
McAnuff has until 6pm on Monday, 1st March to respond to the charge under fast-track procedures and an Independent Regulatory Commission will hear the case three days later.
The FA confirmed they have written to both clubs to seek their observations following an incident which occurred after the final whistle in the same fixture.
