Leyton Orient have snapped up Reading striker Simon Church on a one-month loan deal.

Church has yet to make an impact at Reading, with the 20-year-old's senior debut coming in the FA Cup defeat at Cardiff City last month.

He had earlier failed to score in nine appearances on loan at Wycombe this season, and will now spend time in League One with Orient.

The forward could make his debut against Hartlepool on Saturday and new Orient boss Geraint Williams is hoping Church can impress.

Quality

"We're delighted to have signed Simon on a month's loan," Williams told the club's official website.

"He is a young man with international experience and he has done very well for Wales Under 21s.

"Simon scored three times in their play-off matches against England and he will bring quality to our attacking options.

"He is a hard-working player who comes with a good endorsement from the Welsh Under 21 manager Brian Flynn and it's great to have him on board."
