Sinclair and Widdowson pen loan extensions

Grimsby have extended the loan of Charlton midfielder Dean Sinclair for a further month. The 24-year-old arrived at Blundell Park on an initial one-month loan deal at the beginning of the year but will now stay with the Mariners until 9th March. He has made three appearances for Mike Newell's side, scoring once, but has yet to make his league debut for the Addicks. Meanwhile, Grimsby have also struck a deal with West Ham that will see Joe Widdowson remain at the club until the end of the season. The full-back signed a one-month deal with the Mariners at the start of January and has made three appearances for the club since. With the 19-year-old unlikely to be awarded first team football Upton Park, it has been decided that his development is best continued in League Two.
