Ivar Ingimarsson is confident that his countryman Gylfi Sigurdsson will be a success at Reading.
The teenage midfielder is already an Iceland Under 21 international and was rewarded last week with his first professional contract by the Royals.
Ingimarsson has been impressed by the youngster's development since he arrived at the Madejski Stadium and fully expects him to become a star of the future.
"Gylfi is a very good player and, even though he is a young lad, he looks after himself very, very professionally," he told the club's official website.
"I don't know many who take their stuff as seriously as he does. That's the reason why, since the day he came here, he's improved as a player.
"I'm sure that's what the coaching staff and manager see in him, they believe he can go further because of the way he handles himself."
