Ghana star John Mensah has admitted he wants to move to England this summer.
The Rennes defender is a long-term target of Reading, whilst Harry Redknapp at Portsmouth has also joined the chase.
Mensah admits he would love the chance to move to the Premier League and Pompey are now a real option.
Former Rennes team-mate John Utaka moved to Fratton Park last year and is understood to have recommended him to Redknapp.
Happy to move
"I would be happy to join him. I think it is a good place for an African player," Mensah told The Sun.
"In the past Reading spoke about me and I know they are still interested.
"But with Portsmouth joining the picture it has made it even more interesting."
However, Mensah says there are also other Premier League clubs interested, saying: "They are not the only top English club keen on me."
