Reading striker Leroy Lita has joined Championship side Charlton on an initial month-long loan deal.
The Addicks have the option to extend the deal until the end of the season if the England U21 international impresses during his time at the Valley.
Lita enjoyed a successful first season in the Premier League with the Royals during the 2006/07 campaign, netting 14 times in all competitions.
However, after picking up a freak leg muscle injury in the summer, he has been restricted to just seven first-team starts this term.
Lita is expected to go straight into Charlton's squad for their home game with Preston on Saturday.
His arrival has boosted the attacking options available to Alan Pardew's promotion-chasing side at a vital time in the season and he will compete for a starting role along with Chris Iwelumo, Luke Varney and Andy Gray.
