Reading boss Steve Coppell has revealed he has targeted several players that he would like to sign but he is not desperate to bolster his squad.
So far the Royals have only brought in Marek Matejovsky during the transfer window and Coppell confirmed last week that he has also made enquiries about Lens player Jimmy Kebe.
But beyond that, he is keeping the names of his other targets under wraps as he admits it is not an easy market.
"If any deals happen then I'll talk about them," he told the club's website.
"I've criticised others for doing business in the press, so I won't do it myself.
"We've got a number of targets, and if someone becomes available we'll make a move.
"But those players are not quite as available as we'd like.
"I've said before, I'd be happy to go the rest of the season with what I've got.
"These players have risen to the challenge before, I'm sure they can do it again.
"I think all clubs have the same agenda at the moment. Those that are in the FA Cup are concentrating on that, and the teams not in the competition are trying to do their bit in the marketplace."
Meanwhile, Polish goalkeeper Wojtiech Kovalevski is no longer training with Reading and is set to join an Italian team.
