Reading have decided not to appeal Dave Kitson's red card against Manchester United.
The striker was sent off just 37 seconds after coming on as a substitute in Sunday's 0-0 draw at Old Trafford.
Kitson caught United full-back Patrice Evra with a late tackle, but was unhappy with the decision.
He implored referee Rob Styles to have another look at the incident and felt his challenge only merited a yellow card.
But Reading have opted not to pursue the matter and have confirmed an appeal will not be lodged with the Football Association.
Kitson will now serve a three-game suspension, starting with Wednesday's home game against Chelsea.
Steve Coppell will also be without the forward for the weekend's clash with Everton and the trip to Bolton Wanderers.
