John Oster has warned Reading he may have to leave the club in search of regular first team football.
The former Everton man has struggled to hold down a spot in Steve Coppell's starting XI this term.
Oster has lost his place in the Wales squad as a result of his lack of action and the 27-year-old concedes he may have to move on if he wants to be playing on a consistent basis.
"My situation isn't ideal. If it remains the same then I will probably look to go elsewhere and get some football," Oster told the Reading Evening Post.
"There is a clause in my contract [allowing me to leave], and the manager is fair.
"I could get back in the team, but all the indications are that I'm not going to play. So we'll see what happens."
