Wycombe Wanderers have taken Queens Park Rangers midfielder Tommy Doherty on a three-month loan.
The ex-Northern Ireland international arrives at Adams Park for the next 12 weeks after falling out of favour at Loftus Road.
The former Bristol City captain was transfer-listed by QPR boss Gary Waddock, and should the 27-year-old impress with The Chairboys, Doherty may earn a permanent move to the League Two club.
"He's an experienced player and he will give us help in midfield," Wycombe boss Paul Lambert told the club's official website.
"You don't play at international level for your country if you're not any good, so we'll give him a chance to kick-start again and we'll see how he does," said Lambert.
Another former Bristol City player to extend his loan stay with Wycombe is Reading youngster Scott Golbourne.
Golbourne will remain with The Chairboys for another two months after spending an initial four weeks with Lambert's squad.
