Reading striker Leroy Lita has avoided the axe despite his arrest in Bristol last week.
The England Under-21 international was held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following an incident hours after Reading's defeat at Wigan last month.
Royals boss Steve Coppell was enraged at the fact Lita chose to travel to Bristol so late after only returning to Reading at around 11pm.
However, after being impressed with Lita's exertions in training since, Coppell has decided that the player will be considered for Reading's next game against Manchester City.
"He's sorry for what happened," Coppell told The Sun.
"He is available for selection for the Manchester City game.
"If what happened affected his training then that would obviously influence my team selection, he now has to bust a gut to prove this is all behind him."
