Nottingham Forest have been relegated from The Championship following a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Queens Park Rangers.

Gary Megson's (pictured) side needed a win to avoid the drop and their cause was not helped when Darryl Powell collected his second yellow card just after the half hour mark.

The visitors continued to be their own worst enemy and John Curtis' own goal before the interval left Forest with a mountain to climb for the second half.
