Reading have signed Australian goalkeeper Adam Federici on a short-term deal.The 19-year-old has impressed the Championship club during a trial at The Madejski Stadium.
Federici has been training with The Royals since December and he has earned a deal until the end of the season.
Reading have been looking to bring in a third keeper as they are keen to allow youngster Jamie Young to go out on loan so that he can gain valuable first team experience.
Reading director of football Nick Hammond revealed Federici could win a longer deal at the club if he impresses during his stay.
"It has taken time to get the right permit to allow him to stay here and then sign a contract," Hammond told the club's official website.
"This way we can take a closer look at him from now until the end of the season."
