Boucaud failed to make a first team debut for The Royals, having spent two loan spells with Division Two side Peterborough United.
Posh boss Barry Fry is keen to sign Boucaud at London Road for next season, though Walsall and Luton Town are also thought to be interested in the player as well.
Gamble (pictured) spent the season on loan with Conference club Barnet after making 13 appearances for the Madejski Stadium outfit and Reading's director of football Nicky Hammond has admitted the duo do not fit into manager Steve Coppell's plans.
"Joe had a season-long loan at Barnet and did very well for them," Hammond told the club's official website.
"But he's now at the stage where he needs to be playing regularly in the centre of midfield, and given the quality of players in that position already at the club, it's unlikely he'd do that here next season.
"Andre has been a bit unfortunate that the club has progressed so quickly during his time here.
"Like Joe, he's a central midfielder who doesn't really play in any other position and it would be very difficult for him to displace the quality of players we have here."
