NATHAN TYSON has revealed it was an easy decision to sign a contract extension and is looking forward to securing a regular place in Reading's first-team.

The Reading-born ace had over two seasons to run on his existing deal, but has committed his future for another year with The Royals.

Tyson has featured in around half of the club's league matches so far this term, netting just the one goal in the club's high-flying season.

"I was over the moon when the gaffer said it is time for a new contract," said Tyson to the club's official website. "It wasn't a difficult decision for me to make.

"Personally, it has been a fantastic season for me and I still have a few more years left to show what I can do for this club.

"What I want to achieve at this club is to be a regular starter."
