Little is a fans` favourite at Turf Moor but has made a deadline day switch to Berkshire to help with The Royals' Premiership push.
Despite the move coming as such a shock, Little says that he would be helping The Clarets out by reducing the wage bill for a few months, while he would also have the chance to help The Royals
"I think that Burnley might see this as a good chance for me to help them out by getting off the wage bill for a few weeks," said Little.
"We have still got our pride to play for but are too far off the play-offs and this might be a chance for me to be involved in a push for The Premiership.
"I will help Reading out and then come back to Burnley in the summer.
"Everyone knows I am happy here but I have spoken to a few people and they think it might be a good chance for me at this stage of the season."
Little will have the chance to figure in the play-offs with Reading and help Alan Pardew's troops towards The Premiership, but is determined to return to Burnley whatever happens in the summer.
Pardew will have plenty of options out on the wing now, as the signing of Luke Chadwick has been confirmed until the end of the season, although the Manchester United man would not be able to figure in the play-off final should Reading make it.
