On-loan Eaves back at Bolton

Shrewsbury's survival hopes have suffered a blow with the news that on-loan striker Tom Eaves has been recalled by Bolton.

The 21-year-old has bagged six goals in 10 appearances for the Shrews, including a hat-trick in a 3-0 win over Crawley and a brace in a 3-2 triumph at MK Dons, to help move the Shropshire club six points clear of the drop zone in League One. He joined Town on an initial month-long deal at the end of February, which was later extended until the end of the season with the inclusion of a 24-recall clause. And Trotters boss Dougie Freedman has on Monday opted to activate that clause with his side embroiled a battle for a play-off spot in the Championship. Eaves is yet to make his first-team debut for Wanderers.
