Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan feels assured of his own performances despite the club's lowly position in the Championship table.

Bogdan has ensured summer signing Andrew Lonergan has remained as the back-up keeper and Bolton's No.1 has started in goal for Hungary in their last two internationals.

Wanderers sit just three points above the relegation zone at present in a league Bogdan feels is not any easier than the Premier League.

The Hungarian said: "I feel I'm self-assured but it hurts me that we're in the second part of the table.

"It's not easier (in the Championship.) Here we have great players too and they play strong football.

"There are lots of long balls and they keep crossing the ball from the wings. You need to concentrate and pay attention very much for the success."

He added: "It's not said that I'm the first choice goalkeeper in the national team.

"I try to play well so that the coach shouldn't change the team in the goal."
