Bolton midfielder working hard to play key role
Bolton Wanderers midfielder Darren Pratley was satisfied after opening his Premier League account and believes it is important to work hard if he is to score more.
The former Swansea City man got on the end of a Tim Ream cross to put his side ahead in last Saturday's 2-1 victory over fellow relegation battlers Queens Park Rangers.
It was Pratley's second goal for Bolton, after scoring against his old club Swansea in the FA Cup, but he reserved special praise for his first goal in the top tier of English football.
Hard work
Pratley told the club's official website: "It's always nice to get your first Premier League goal, especially in those circumstances.
"In those kinds of games we have to be patient because they aren't the prettiest. Everyone is fighting for their lives and we hung in there.
"It was a good ball by Tim because he could have just thrashed it across the goal but he chipped it into the six-yard box nicely."
The 28-year-old has been a key figure in Owen Coyle's side this season and the former Arsenal trainee stated how hard work is an important part of his game.
He added: "It's good to score goals because that is part of my game but if I can help the team in other ways I am happy. If I'm working hard and play my part, I will always be pleased."
