Philadelphia Union striker arrives in England

Bolton are understood to have made a move for Philadelphia Union striker Sebastian Le Toux. The 28-year-old has spent most of his career in America after moving from Lorient in 2007. He has hit double figures in his last two seasons with Philadelphia and is now believed to be heading for talks with Bolton. Reports claim that the Trotters have held talks with the Union and the MLS club have sanctioned Le Toux's trip to England.

Jet plane

Le Toux confirmed he was on his way across the Atlantic, via his Twitter account. "On a jet plane to England," he said. Should Bolton strike a deal with Le Toux it would be their second with an MLS player in the space of a week, after they agreed a move for New York Red Bulls defender Tim Ream. Ream's switch is now subject to a work permit - something France-born Le Toux would not require.
