Midfielder slams team-mates performance in Swansea defeat

David Wheater has revealed that Nigel Reo-Coker let his team-mates know exactly what he thought of them in the aftermath of Bolton's defeat at Swansea. The midfielder let rip in the changing room after the 3-1 defeat left Bolton languishing in 19th position following an eighth defeat in nine Premier League games. However, Wheater felt the harsh words needed to be said as the Trotters look to kick-start their season. The centre-half told the Bolton News: "Nigel is a good character and he had a word in the changing room but that's what you need sometimes. "You need players to have a go at other players. You can't be friends with each other and let another defeat go - you need to say something. "I can't say what he said but a few players said a few things and it was right what the lads said. Sometimes it needs to be said. "We all know it's not good enough. We all know what we need to do; we need to pass better, tackle a bit harder and do everything a bit better."
