Bolger doubtful for Rovers

Cian Bolger is a doubt for Bristol Rovers' clash with Rotherham on Friday after missing two training sessions this week.

Bolger suffered a thigh injury during Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Oxford at the Kassam Stadium, and is a worry for manager Paul Buckle ahead of the visit of the Millers after being ruled out of practice on Sunday and Monday. However, the Pirates may be buoyed by the return of Matt Gill, who is back in training after recovering from a hamstring problem. "Cian is obviously a concern because he has missed two days of training," Buckle told the Bristol Evening Post. "The players know how important it is to be part of as many sessions as possible before a game so as they are properly prepared for what we want them to do. "There is not much we can do about injuries, however, so we've just got to take it on the chin and hope that we can get the players patched up and back out on the pitch as quickly as possible."
